I attended Syracuse University and New York Law School, graduating with honors from each school (law school class rank: top 15%). While at NYLS, I performed work with the Immigration & Civil Rights Clinic. I successfully obtained a green card for a political asylum applicant.
Also in my last year of law school, I honed my skills drafting appellate briefs under the tutelage of Nadine Strossen, President of the ACLU. And as an intern with a civil rights law firm, I drafted a brief which was successful in Second Circuit appeal.
After spending over a year in private practice (performing matrimonial, civil rights & immigration work), I obtained a job with the city's Administration for Children's Services. I spent just over 2 years with ACS, prosecuting child support, child abuse/neglect and foster care cases.
In August 2000, I established my present practice, catering to clients with Divorce and Family Court cases, as well as civil rights and immigration matters.
I have performed literally hundreds of trials and court hearings in my time. I consider myself a thorough and diligent litigator. I believe in the notion that hard work wins cases.
My office handles a full range of matrimonial and family law cases, including uncontested and contested divorces, child custody, visitation and support, as well child protective, family offense, adoption and juvenile delinquency cases. My firm also handles both civil rights and immigration matters and maintains a satellite office in Jamaica, New York.
