Laurie Blanton was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2008. She began her legal career in 1996 with a degree from Palm Beach Community College as a Legal Assistant. She became a Certified Legal Assistant in 1997 and worked in that capacity until beginning law school in January, 2006. Blanton graduated cum laude from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2004. She received her law degree from Washburn University School of Law, where she graduate with honors and earned awards for the best written work in both her Property and Juvenile Offender classes. Blanton has been also an adjunct professor at Manatee Community College where she taught courses for the Paralegal/Legal Assistant Degree Program.
