Jessica R. Bland is an associate of the firm, admitted to the bar in, 2011, New Jersey; and 2012 Florida.
Jessica is a graduate of Saint Mary's College of Notre Dame, Indiana, earned her bachelor's degree in English Writing and Philosophy and cultivated her love of the Italian language while studying abroad in Rome, Italy. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Bland earned her Master's Degree in Educaiton from Seton Hall University and taught high school English and history for four years. During law school, Ms. Bland excelled at oral advocacy, winning Seton Hall's First Year Moot Court Competition in 2009. Subsequently thereafter, she honed her appellate advocacy skills on Seton Hall's Interscholastic Moot Court Board, earning top accolades with her partner, Sean Camoni, at all four competitions, including the ABA National Moot Court Competition in 2012. Ms. Bland also participated in the Civil Litigation Clinic during the Fall of her third year of law school, which, coupled with her experience on the Moot Court Board, cultivated her passion for civil litigation.
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Bland served as the judicial clerk in the Law Division to the Honorable Charles E. Powers, Jr., J.S.C., at the Bergen County Superior Court. She is currently an active member of the Seton Hall Law Alumni Association, as well as the Bergen County Bar Association Young Lawyer's Division.
In addition to private practice, Ms. Bland is an avid runner and continues to volunteer as a coach with the Seton Hall Law Interscholastic Moot Court Board.
Experience: Law Clerk, the Honorable Charles E. Powers, Jr., Superior Court of New Jersey, August 30, 2011 until her employment as an associate of the Law Firm commenced on September 4, 2012.
