Marc Blackman represents clients in high-stakes patent infringement cases in federal courts throughout the country as well as in the International Trade Commission. Marc handles cases involving complex technology, such as computer hardware and software, semiconductor structures and fabrication, flash memory, image sensors, digital cameras, and mobile devices.
Marc has substantial experience litigating cases involving multiple patents and defendants. For example, he is representing Nikon in a multidistrict litigation involving infringement allegations against Nikon and numerous other camera manufacturers regarding the communication between digital cameras and computers. Marc also represented Nikon against allegations that its cameras with CMOS image sensors infringe 11 Caltech patents. In addition, he represented Texas Instruments in a five-patent infringement action before the ITC relating to digital signal processors. Marc also recently represented Fisher-Price, Freescale Semiconductor, IBM, Kyocera, Limited Brands, Motorola, Nokia, and Sharp.
