Joseph R. Blalock is an associate at McCamic, Sacco & McCoid, PLLC.  His practice focuses on personal injury, criminal defense, and family law matters.  Mr. Blalock is admitted to practice law in West Virginia and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia.

Mr. Blalock earned his law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law where he was a member of the WVU College of Law Moot Court Board and judicial liaison for the Second Annual WVU College of Law National Energy and Sustainability Moot Court Competition.  During his third year of law school, Mr. Blalock worked in the WVU College of Law Child and Family Advocacy Clinic, where he gained invaluable courtroom experience by litigating estate planning, adoption, and divorce related issues on behalf of indigent families living in north-central West Virginia.

Prior to entering law school, Mr. Blalock worked, studied, and traveled extensively throughout Western Europe.  In 2009, he worked in Munich, Germany for the West Virginia Development office, an agency of the West Virginia Department of Commerce which seeks to identify and develop international business opportunities that retain or create jobs in West Virginia.  While working with the West Virginia Development office, Mr. Blalock attended international chemical and renewable energy trade shows, during which he met face-to-face with European entrepreneurs in an effort to recruit their business to West Virginia.

Mr. Blalock graduated Cum Laude from West Virginia University in 2009, where he earned degrees in both Philosophy and German.  While at WVU, Mr. Blalock acted as the marketing director and team captain of the WVU Golf Club’s travel-team and Executive Vice President of the Stewart Investment Group, a student-run organization charged with managing a University investment fund.
