Charlie Black's practice is primarily energy-related, but also covers real estate, banking, business organizations, probate, construction, and commercial transactions. For the past fifteen years, Mr. Black has represented wind developers, landowners, and lenders (as Texas counsel) in various aspects of wind energy development, including land rights and turbine procurement, construction, operation, environmental and regulatory review, power sales, interconnection, and financing of wind projects. Mr. Black has also assisted utilities in the acquisition and condemnation of transmission easement and rights-of-way. In addition to his energy practice, Mr. Black represents various banks, businesses and health care providers in commercial transactions, including acquisitions and real estate, as well as business planning, and represents individuals in estate planning and probate matters.
