Hannah L. Bivins is an associate attorney of the Firm. She is a native of Galesburg, Michigan. In 2005, after three and one half years of study, she received her B.A., with honors, from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. In 2006, Hannah accepted an Honors and Entrance Scholarship Award from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in Chicago, Illinois. In 2009, she received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and moved back to Michigan. She was admitted to the Michigan Bar and joined the Firm in 2009.
During law school, Hannah received a CALI award for obtaining the highest grade in her Legal Writing Class and served as a Legal Writing Tutor. She also received a CALI award for obtaining the highest grade in her Criminal Procedure class. While in law school, Hannah served as an Extern for Federal District Court Judge Enslen. As a Senior Law Student, Hannah was employed as a Law Clerk in the License Enforcement Unit of the City of Chicago's Department of Law. Hannah's responsibilities as a Law Clerk included conducting municipal prosecutions against non-complying licensees in Chicago's Department of Business Affairs and Licensing. She also volunteered at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center though Loyola's Law Related Education Program.
Hannah's practice focuses primarily on the areas of health law, business law, creditor's rights, family law, guardianship, conservatorship, estate planning and probate.
Hannah is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, and the Calhoun County Bar Association.
Hannah and her husband, Dustin, reside in Battle Creek.
