Birnbaum, Andrew L.

Patricia Biswanger has twenty years of experience representing companies of all sizes, and individuals, in the federal appellate and trial courts and in the state courts. She is of counsel to the Firm, specializing in appellate litigation, business litigation, and employment law matters.

Ms. Biswanger graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, and returned to Penn for her law degree. At Penn Law, she served as Executive Editor of The University of Pennsylvania Law Review and was Penn Law's representative to the National Moot Court Competition.

After graduating from Penn Law, Ms. Biswanger clerked for the Honorable Donald. W. VanArtsdalen on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She was then employed by some of Philadelphia's largest and most prominent law firms, rising through the ranks from associate to partner before becoming of counsel to our Firm.

Ms. Biswanger has practiced before numerous courts, including all the federal courts in Pennsylvania and all levels of state courts in Pennsylvania. She is also a seasoned appellate litigator who has authored numerious briefs and argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She has also handled many employment matters before the Eaqual Employment Opportunity Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, the Pennsylvania Unemployment Compesnation Board, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the human relations and unemployment compensation agencies of New Jersey and Delaware.

Since 2005, Ms. Biswanger has taught evidence and bioehtics in the Masters in Flrensix Medicine program at Philadelhia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and since 2007 she has served as Assistant Solicitor to Delaware County.

Ms. Biswanger travels frequently to the city of Barlad in northeastern Romania to work in an orphanage for special-needs infants and toddlers, and is active in dog rescue and anti-puppy mill efforts. She is also active in local politicial and government affairs.
