PROFILE OF WALTER BIEBER

INTRODUCTION

I have a wall in my office filled with plaques and diplomas, reflecting awards and accomplishments. Yet there is one plaque that really grabs the attention of every person who walks in my office. Clients, attorneys and judges will ignore the others, and immediately comment about it .....my Eagle Scout Award. I must admit, it was important as my first major award, and it served as an inspiration to achieve more.

I really enjoy helping clients. Winning in Court, of course, is always gratifying. It is especially gratifying to work with clients and their families through probating an estate, working a case from start to finish, and planning their estate so as to avoid pitfalls and have a successful outcome in the future.

EXPERIENCE:

I specialize in Probate and Estate Planning, car accidents, personal injury and Social Security Disability. I also do a great deal of work in Divorce, Collection and Business Matters. In the Probate and Estate Planning areas, I have represented hundreds of clients in probating various estates when a loved one passes away. This primarily involves moving title of property and assets from a deceased person to a family or friends. I also have represented many clients in their Estate Planning needs, in terms of preparation of Trusts, Wills, Power of Attorney, Medical Directives, etc.

Most of our work is in the tri-county area, but we also cover Lapeer, Washtenaw, Monroe and St. Clair counties. I represent many clients in personal injury or accident matters. I have recovered millions of dollars for injured people, as well as defended businesses and corporations in this area of the law. With an extensive trial practice, I am often selected to act as a mediator, arbitrator and case evaluator by fellow attorneys and judges to help others resolve their lawsuits.

I have successfully represented local, national and international businesses for many years. I once held the record for the largest recovery for State Farm Fire Insurance Company in Michigan. My work for businesses include business start ups with new LLCs, real estate and other corporate issues as well as collection litigation.

CURRENT ACTIVITIES:

Instructor at Oakland University's Paralegal Program since 1990.
Member of Warren Kiwanis Club since 1985 & Officer since 1991.
Member of The Salvation Army Advisory Council since 1997.
Active with Community Living Centers for the mentally disabled.
Member of Warren Zoning Board of Appeals since 2008.

HOBBIES:

My major hobbies involve my family and work with the Kiwanis Club of Warren since 1985. I have been active with my family, in and out of Kiwanis family. I am proud to have sponsored and established not only several new Kiwanis Clubs in our area, but also founded service leadership programs including building and advising the Bishop Foley Key Club in Madison Heights, St. Clements' Builders Club in Center Line, the Aktion Club in Warren, the St. Anne's Builders Club in Warren, and the Lawrence Tech University Circle K Club in Southfield. I also have attended numerous District and International Conventions for Kiwanis.
