Barry S. Bernstein spent his childhood arguing with anyone and everyone with whom he did not agree. He would not give up until he had convinced them that he was right. It did not take him long to realize what his chosen profession would be. Since that time, Mr. Bernstein has helped to make a difference in the lives of a countless number of his clients.
Mr. Bernstein began his career as a defense attorney for the City of New York. He became the youngest head of a trial unit in the City's history. After leaving his employment with the government, he has limited his practice to representing only those who have been injured through the negligence of others. He has a proven track record of having taken on the biggest private corporations, the State and City of New York and various other municipalities and agencies.
Mr. Bernstein is listed in both Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Law. Last year he was honored to be nominated for membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He has also served on the panel of arbitrators in United States District Court.
Among his other successes, Barry recently obtained a Six Million Dollar settlement for a worker injured in a construction accident. The remarkable quality of this achievement was not only the astounding amount that the client received, but the speed with which the matter was resolved. The settlement was finalized within four months of the happening of the accident.
Mr. Bernstein is a long standing member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America).
Mr. Bernstein and his wife reside in Bayside, New York.
