Neil Berger is a partner of Togut, Segal & Segal LLP, where he practices restructuring and insolvency law. For the past 25 years, Mr. Berger has specialized in the representation of the interests of Chapter 11 debtors, creditors, creditor committees, creditor committee members, and Chapter 11, Chapter 7 and post-confirmation trustees.
A significant portion of Mr. Berger's practice includes the representation of parties in fraudulent conveyance and preferential transfer litigation. Significant avoidance litigation representations include debtors and post-confirmation litigation trustees in Enron Corp., SemCrude, L.P., Collins & Aikman, Delphi Automotive Corporation, Ames Department Stores, Travel Services, Inc., and Unicapital Corp. Mr. Berger represents Albert Togut, the senior partner of Togut, Segal & Segal LLP, in his capacity as a member of the panel of bankruptcy trustees in the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Berger was named a New York Super Lawyer in 2009, 2010, and 2011 and he is a frequent speaker on restructuring, liquidation and avoidance litigation issues for the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Barry Zaretsky Roundtable, Bloomberg Law Center, the New York State Bar Association and other symposia.
