Bennie, Jonathan Collins

Steve Bennett is a counsel in the Bankruptcy and Commercial Department of WilmerHale. He joined the firm in 2001.

Practice
Mr. Bennett focuses his practice on commercial and bankruptcy law, including secured and unsecured lending and corporate reorganization. Mr. Bennett has served as counsel to corporate debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and has helped creditors defend and pursue their rights against Chapters 7 and 11 debtors and Chapter 7 trustees. He also has represented borrowers in commercial loan transactions. His pro bono commitments include Chapter 7 consumer representation. 

Recent Highlights

• Counsel to a retail company in its successful Chapter 11 reorganization of approximately $230,000,000 of liabilities
