Tim Becker earned his undergraduate degree from Rockhurst College in Kansas City. He then attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, during which time he held a clerkship position for two years in the Consumer Protection Unit of the Missouri Attorney General's office. Upon graduation, he joined the Jackson County Prosecutor's office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. For five years, he tried felony criminal cases ranging from robbery to homicide. In January 1997, he joined the law firm of Stigall, Humphrey, Lucas, Henry & Dollar where he began litigating nursing home abuse and nursing home wrongful death cases.Tim is now a partner with the law firm of Dollar, Burns & Becker. He limits his practice to litigation and has extensive experience in the area of trucking accidents. He is a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and has served on its Board of Governors since 1998. He is a member of the Truck Litigation Group of the Association for American Justice. He also serves on the State Advisory Board of the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America. Tim is an adjunct professor at the UMKC School of Law in its Trial Advocacy program. He served on the Board of Directors of Hope House for Battered Women and Children. Although Tim's practice is based in Kansas City, he spends much of his time litigating truck cases around the country. Tim has five children - Joshua, Grace, Joe, Noah, and Lila.
