Graduate of Austin Peay University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geography in 1996. Graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2001.
Admissions include Illinois and Missouri State Courts, United States District Courts for Southern District of Illinois and Eastern District of Missouri.
Memberships include: St. Clair County Bar Association (current Secretary of the Board and member of the library committee), East St. Louis Bar Association (board member), Illinois State Bar Association, the Missouri Bar, Bar Association for the Central and Southern Federal Districts of Illinois and Defense Research Institute.
Prior to law school, Laura was a licensed Environmental Specialist in Tennessee, working on several environmentally sensitive sites such as Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) and Superfund sites throughout the state. After law school, she served several years as an Assistant St. Clair County State’s Attorney where she developed extensive trial skills.
A native of Minnesota, Laura now lives in Belleville, Illinois with her husband, Jarrod and their two children, Ty and Reagan. She is also very active in the community as a member of several committees and boards. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, golf, cooking, reading and gardening.
