Norma A. Bazán has had extensive experience in the area of family law for over 20 years. Mrs. Bazán has dedicated her legal career to the area of family law, which includes:
1) working for a family law District Court Judge in Tarrant County, as a Court Coordinator, for over eight years;
2) obtaining her board certification through the State Bar of Texas in the area of family law while working as a paralegal prior to obtaining her law license from the State Bar of Texas;
3) attending annual family law seminars; and
4) co-authoring family law articles.
Mrs. Bazán has also been trained as a mediator in the area of family law. Mrs. Bazán has been a member of the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association for over ten years; is a member of the American Bar Association; Tarrant County Bar Association; Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association; State Bar College; Texas Family Law Bar Foundation; and was invited as a student member of the Eldon B. Mahon American Inn of Court. Mrs. Bazán is also a board member of the Tarrant County Family Law Association for the term 2011-2012. Mrs. Bazán is fluent in Spanish and has lectured in the area of domestic violence.
Mrs. Bazan believes that each individual has the right to competent, responsible, and trustworthy representation. The area of family law is one of the most contentious areas of law and places people in an emotional, life changing, rollercoaster. An attorney focusing their practice on family law must understand the legal needs of a client and consider the client's desire for a fair and just outcome. While Mrs. Bazán believes that cooperation among attorneys is essential, she is resolved in representing a client's legal rights with conviction to insure a proper and just outcome.
