Practice
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bastianelli worked as a law clerk at another firm in Washington DC, where he researched various issues including validity of a traffic stop under Fourth Amendment case law for a pro bono client, state statutory licensing requirements for sale of tobacco products, and tolling the applicable statute of limitations for filing refund claims with the IRS. He also contributed to a nationwide poll of state election officials concerning emergency procedures and backup voting systems in case of voting machine failure.
As a paralegal, Mr. Bastianelli was responsible for serving and filing pleadings, motions and briefs at various federal and state trial and appellate courts. He also compiled and filed various reports with federal agencies including Hart-Scott Rodino forms with the FTC and DOJ, questionnaire responses with the DOC and pre- and post-hearing briefs with the ITC.
