Robert C. Barnum, Jr. was born in New York City. He obtained his B.A. from Dartmouth College and his L.L.B. from Cornell Law School. He was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1948 and is an original partner of Ivey, Barnum & O'Mara.
Mr. Barnum is admitted to practice before the United States District Court and the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American, Connecticut and Greenwich Bar Associations. His areas of expertise include estate planning, trust and estate administration and real estate.
Mr. Barnum served as a member of the Representative Town Meeting for over 20 years and was a Moderator Pro Tem for 16 years. He also served as Chairman of three Charter Revision Commissions and was a member of the Board of Health. He is a past Commodore of the Riverside Yacht Club and has been active in numerous civic and charitable organizations in the community.
