Mr. Bamberger was first admitted to practice in New York in 1983 and has since been admitted to practice in several federal courts.
A graduate of Brandeis University (magna cum laude, 1979) and Harvard Law School (1982), Mr. Bamberger has spent most of his career in litigation positions at major New York law firms and, between 2003 and 2008, with Merrill Lynch in New York. He became of council to Mr. Brickman’s law office in May 2008. Between 1999 and 2002, Mr. Bamberger was Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Inamed Corporation (NASDAQ: IMDC), a medical device manufacturer which was later sold for $3.2 billion in cash and stock to Allergan.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Bamberger was associated with Simpson thacher and then with Skadden Arps in New York. He was then a partner in Olshan Grundman Frome & Rozenweig LLP for approximately five years (1994-1999) before joining Inamed. He has defended Merrill Lynch in approximately 35 matters which resulted in awards issued by FINRA, NYSE or NASD arbitration panels. (See www.finra.org; arbitration awards).
Mr.Bamberger has been a member of the Advisory Board to Corporate Counsel Magazine. He has also lectured at the Financial Executives Institute. He was the subject of a major profile appearing on the front page of the business section of the April 2001 issue of National Law Journal.
