Trey graduated in 2001 with High Distinction from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Biology and a B.B.A. in Business Administration. As an undergraduate, he was a recipient of the Golden Key Award and inducted as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In 2005, Trey earned his Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary School of Law in Williamsburg, Virginia. While at William & Mary, Trey was Treasurer for Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, a member of the Law Review editorial board, and graduated as one of the top twenty students in the 2005 graduating class. Trey is licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina
