Steven graduated from TCU in 2000. After that, he worked as a copy editor and freelance sports reporter for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram at night.
He began law school at the Texas Tech School of Law in 1997. During law school, he sharpened his editing skills by working on the Texas Tech Law Review. While in law school, Steven also volunteered his time at the West Texas Innocence Project.
After graduating from law school, he clerked for the Honorable Robert Junell, the federal district court judge in Midland, Texas. During his clerkship, Steven had the rare opportunity as a lawyer to work on both civil and criminal cases. During Steven's tenure, Judge Junell issued his opinion upholding the constitutionality of the Texas Open Meetings Act under the First Amendment.
Today, Stevens look forward to the challenge of representing clients at the Cogdell Law Firm.
