John Hollis Baker has been named a "rising star" by Super Lawyers and listed in "Top Verdicts" for one of the largest jury trial verdicts in contract litigation in the year of 2011. John was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1974. After obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Mercer Law in 2002, he began his trial practice in Athens. In that time he has achieved results for clients in and around Athens in both State and Federal courts. He currently practices in various areas of civil litigation including personal injury, commercial litigation, banking litigation, plaintiff’s torts including carbon monoxide poisoning cases, and real estate litigation. John is a founding member of the State Bar’s Leadership Academy and is regularly appointed as a conflict attorney for the Federal Court in the Middle District of Georgia. John is admitted to The State Bar of Georgia, The Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia, and the Middle District of the United States Federal Court and is a member of the Western Circuit Bar Association.
