Ken Ayres practices primarily in the area of structured finance and derivative securities. He most recently has represented financial institutions in transactions involving municipal securities structured products, total return swaps referencing managed debt portfolios, and the restructuring of existing financings. He also represents clients outside the banking arena in a variety of negotiated transactions.
Companies for which Ken has worked on recent matters include Bank of America and Citibank.
Ken has extensive background in a wide range of corporate and finance transactions as well as in corporate governance matters. From 1993 to 1994, he served as general counsel of the Firm's client First American Corporation, the parent company of First American Bankshares, in its court-ordered liquidation stemming from the international Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI) banking scandal.
