Tyler was born in Greenville, NC, on October 28, 1982. Tyler represents individuals and businesses as part of his civil litigation practice. He pays special attention to collections and bankruptcy law.
Tyler is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the Bankruptcy Section of the Bar. He is licensed to practice before all North Carolina State Courts and the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
Tyler graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law in May 2011. Prior to law school, he attended and graduated cum laude from Washington and Lee University where he played collegiate football and was an Academic All-Conference member of the team. After graduation, he worked as a reporter for the newspaper, the Enterprise, in Williamston, NC, and as a legal assistant in the Washington, D.C. office of Jones Day.
Tyler received his Eagle Scout award in 1996 and currently serves as Eagle Board of Review Chairman for the Neuse Basin District. He is a member of the Young Professionals Group of the New Bern Chamber of Commerce. He enjoys outdoor activities with his family.
