Bethany Appleby is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department and chair of the Diversity Committee. Her practice focuses on franchise, commercial and utility litigation. She has represented clients in litigation and arbitration in numerous U.S. jurisdictions and before the International Court of Arbitration.

Bethany has been included in The Best Lawyers in America since 2008 for Franchise Law. She is also an Associate Editor for the American Bar Association Franchise Law Journal and has written numerous articles on franchise and utility litigation.

Bethany graduated magna cum laude from Yale University and received her J.D. with highest honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law where she was a Notes and Comments editor for the Connecticut Law Review. Before entering law school, Bethany had a financial planning practice and held the Certified Financial Planning designation.
