Melissa is a native of the state-line area. Originally from Freeport, Illinois, she appreciates the needs of clients in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. She received her Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from Northern Illinois University College of Law. During her time there she was honored to serve as a justice on the NIU Moot Court Board. Attorney Anderson was a successful competitor in the NIU College of Law Moot Court Competition, where she argued as a semi-finalist, placing in the top four out of the twenty-three teams that competed. She also participated in the Appellate Lawyers Association Moot Court Competition, where she argued as a semi-finalist and received a prize for third best brief. Currently residing in Monroe, Wisconsin with her husband and daughter, she is admitted to practice in both Wisconsin and Illinois, serving as a member of both the Illinois State Bar Association and the Wisconsin State Bar Association.
