Lisa is the head of the Family Law practice group at Thomsen Nybeck. Lisa brings to every case decades of experience representing clients in all manner of family law proceedings, including but not limited to: divorce, paternity, custody, adoption, domestic abuse, post-decree proceedings, CHIPS, and establishing/modifying/enforcing child support and spousal maintenance. Lisa’s practice in these various subjects of family law has taken place across a wide span of forums from hearings, initial case management conferences, social early neutral evaluations (“SENE”), financial early neutral evaluations (“FENE”), expedited child support hearings, mediations, district court trials, and the Court of Appeals. She is also a certified Guardian ad Litem, as well as being certified as both an SENE and an FENE.
Lisa’s extensive experience in representing family law clients in Minnesota allows her important perspective and advantage in representing clients that are faced with some of the most difficult and wrenching legal predicaments that a person can face. Lisa is known for her ability to assist clients in a professional and level-headed manner to accomplish effective results.
In addition to her legal practice for hire, Lisa has repeatedly shown commitment to serving the community with her skills, including serving as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem in Dakota County, and advising clients at the Help Desk for Dakota County Legal Assistance, representing pro bono clients for Dakota County Legal Assistance and Southern Minnesota Regional Services in Ramsey County and previously participating as a volunteer attorney at Law Day at the Mall.
