Before practicing law, she worked in human resource management and in the insurance industry. Janet understands the pressures businesses face, and management in particular, when she develops legal and practical solutions for our clients.

She served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association for 3 years, and served on the Foundation Board and as program chair of the Rogers Rotary Club for 2 years. She is also a member of the North Star Chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management and the Minnesota and Hennepin County Bar Associations. She has been recognized by the Minnesota State Bar Association for excellence in labor law and employment law. Janet is admitted into the state and federal courts in Minnesota and the Eighth Circuit.

Janet's volunteer activities include serving as an officer in her local elementary school PTO, serving as a director for a local nonprofit child care co-op, organizing clothing drives, serving as a high school mock trial judge, chairing various committees on the football boosters, and assisting in various church and community activities.
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Janet received her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, summa cum laude, where she was an Executive Editor of the William Mitchell Law Review. She received her B.S. from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, summa cum laude. Prior to joining Henningson & Snoxell in 2005, Janet practiced law with a large Minneapolis employment law firm. She lives with her family in Maple Grove.
