Allred, Lisa R.

Lu has been practicing criminal and family law since 2010. She graduated from Athens State University with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1991. Continuing her education, Lu earned a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000. While at VCU, Lu was accepted into the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, and was a graduate research assistant.

After working as a Sentencing Advocate & Mitigation Specialist in the Hampton Public Defenders Office, Lu attended Regent University School of Law, graduating in 2010. While at Regent, Lu served on the Trial Advocacy Executive Board, and Public Interest Legal Advocates at Regent, and was selected for the James Kent Inn of Court.

A former Assistant Public Defender, Lu has tried a variety of criminal cases including misdemeanors, DUI, and serious felonies such as robbery, burglary, embezzlement, and drug offenses. She is passionate about protecting her clients' civil rights, and works diligently to advocate on their behalf. Her family law clients find her approachable and understanding, and passionate about protecting their interests in a divorce, custody and visitation, or support matter. Lu helps clients navigate the legal system, resolve their issues, and move on with their lives.
