Ms. Alexander is a recent addition to the Miami branch, having recently been admitted to practice law in the State of Florida. Although Ms. Alexander is a new associate, she is not new to the legal field, or Brown Sims, P.C. After taking the Florida Bar, Miss Alexander worked as a law clerk for Brown Sims, P.C. before being hired as an associate. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a legal assistant for an insurance defense law firm in Miami. While working toward her Bachelor's Degree she interned with the District Attorney's Office in Oneida County, New York which sparked her interest in the legal field. Currently Miss Alexander is active in defending insurance Companies in several insurance related suits and is also responsible for several cases filed under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, the Defense Base Act and the Florida Workers' Compensation Statute.
While attending law school, Miss Alexander had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain and study international Civil law, exposing her to a broad spectrum of international issues.
Miss Alexander received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University in 2004 and a Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2009. Memberships include the Dade County Bar Association.
