Daniel Alexander's practice is focused on litigating complex commercial disputes in state and federal courts, both in the trial courts and on appeal. Daniel has litigated cases in the antitrust, securities and consumer protection fields in cases ranging from individual lawsuits to nationwide class actions and other sophisticated multi-plaintiff, multi-jurisdictional disputes. Daniel also leads the firm's appellate practice. He is admitted to practice in Texas state courts, all state and federal courts in California and in the United States Supreme Court.
Before joining Coleman Frost in 2007, Daniel practiced at O'Melveny & Myers LLP for almost six years and was a member of the American Lawyer's 2004 Litigation Department of the Year. At O'Melveny, Daniel's experience included managing the coordination of almost 90 class actions on behalf of a major electronics manufacturer and substantial work managing class action litigation for Ford Motor Company.
Daniel began his career as a law clerk to the Honorable Craig T. Enoch of the Supreme Court of Texas. Daniel received his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Southern Methodist University in 2000. While at SMU, Daniel was an Articles Editor for the SMU Law Review and President of the Student Bar Association. Daniel received his B.A. degree summa cum laude from McMurry University in 1997.
